US-ASEAN Business Council Praises Cambodia’s Effective COVID19 Control and Pledges to Support Kingdom’s Economy


Phnom Penh-Oct. 19 – The US-ASEAN Business Council commended the Cambodian government’s effective COVID19 control, and pledged to further support the Kingdom’s economy.

The US-ASEAN Business Council also sought to invest in various sectors in the Kingdom. President and CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council Ted Osius informed Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen on Tuesday morning via videoconference. On the occasion, the premier also thanked the United States for its vaccine donations and expressed his pleasure that the US-ASEAN Business Council recognized Cambodia’s successful vaccination campaign and the positive results. He also underlined the government’s plan in tackling Cambodia’s climate change as well as COVID19 management.

Samdech also highlighted Cambodia’s efforts to reform a better business sector to attract investors. He also presented some favorable investment climate and potential in Cambodia to the US-ASEAN Business Council and called on US investors to consider investing in the Kingdom.
