Seven people died in a fatal car accident on road 41 in Kampot province’s Dang Tong district when the car they were traveling in overturned at around 2:30 pm today. Dang Tong district Police Chief Colonel Heng Chom told Khmer Times that the accident happened at about 2:30 pm today when the car on its way from the east to west at high speed had a flat tire, causing it to overturn and plow into the ditch, killing all seven people inside.
“We could not know the identities of all the victims yet, but the seven victims, including a two-years-girl and an eleven-year-old boy, are dead,” he said.
Some of them hailed from Kampong Cham province, and went to visit their relatives in Chum Kiri district, police said.
He said all the bodies are kept at Chork pagoda in Chum Kiri district.
